Is PortoAI an investment advisor or broker?

No. PortoAI is an AI research tool that helps you organise information and run risk checks. It does not give buy or sell recommendations. All orders are placed with your broker and you remain responsible for your decisions.

Can PortoAI place orders?

Accepted Answer

Yes, but only when you ask it to and only after you confirm. PortoAI can help you plan entries, exits, and GTT style orders. When you are ready, it prepares the order for your connected broker and waits for your explicit confirmation before anything is sent. No order ever fires without you approving it first.

How do broker connections work?

You connect PortoAI to your broker using that broker's official login and authorisation flow. PortoAI receives read access to your portfolio, holdings, and order history so it can run checks and give context aware answers. You can revoke access or disconnect at any time from inside PortoAI and usually from your broker account as well.

Which brokers are supported?

Right now PortoAI works with Zerodha for live usage. Groww support is planned and is coming soon. More brokers will be added over time. You can always see the latest list of supported brokers on the connections page inside the app.

How is PortoAI different from generic AI chat?

Generic AI tools are great for broad questions and coding, but they cannot see your real broker account or behaviour. PortoAI connects to your broker, looks at your actual holdings and trades, and then runs risk checks and behaviour analysis on top. It is built for Indian investors and traders, with your portfolio and habits at the centre.

Do you guarantee returns or recommend specific stocks?

No. PortoAI does not guarantee returns and does not give stock tips. It does not promise that you will turn losses into profits. Its role is to give you clearer information, risk checks, and behaviour insights so that you can make more disciplined decisions.

What languages can I use?

You can chat with PortoAI in text in English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu. You can mix languages in the same conversation and PortoAI keeps the full context. Voice input is planned and will be available in a later update.

What can I ask PortoAI?

You can ask about your portfolio, holdings, and risk; company results, news, and events; trade planning, position sizing, and exits; behaviour and habits such as overtrading or averaging down. PortoAI will not tell you what to buy or sell. It explains, highlights risks, and helps you think through your own decisions.

How does web research work?

When you ask PortoAI to research something, it calls trusted web sources such as exchanges, regulators, company filings, and well known research sites. It then summarises the information for you and links to important sources when possible so you can verify key details yourself.

You can reach us from inside the app using chat or email, and through the Contact Us page on this site. We try to respond as quickly as possible during Indian market hours and on the next working day for messages that come in later.

What plans do you offer?

We currently offer two plans so you can choose what fits your use. The entry plan lets you try PortoAI with limited questions and features. The higher plan unlocks more usage and deeper portfolio and behaviour views for active investors and traders. You can see the latest details and pricing on the plans page inside the app.

Are there message limits?

Yes. To keep the service reliable for everyone we have fair use limits on questions and on heavier features such as web research. Your current limits and usage are always visible inside the app and you can upgrade if you need more.

Can I downgrade or cancel?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You can change plans, downgrade, or cancel from the billing section inside the app. If you cancel, your subscription runs until the end of the current period and then stops. You still keep the ability to disconnect brokers and request a data export once that feature is live.

Can I export my data and reports?

Exporting full reports and data from PortoAI is planned but not available yet. We are working on safe ways to let you download key summaries while keeping your data protected. Until exports are live you can always copy important insights or screenshots for your own records.

What about privacy and security?

PortoAI uses encryption in transit and at rest, follows strict access controls, and only connects to brokers through their authorised flows. We do not sell your personal data. You can disconnect brokers, clear conversations, and request data exports or deletion as described in our privacy policy.
